In order to save My Pelargoniums ( Zonal And Ivy Leaved Geraniums) from any more hard frosts and to ensure I have a good number of plants for next summer. I take cuttings from my Zonal geranium and my trailing/ Ivy leaved geranium. They will take a few weeks to take root, but by summertime I should have a good selection of plants for planting up my balcony.
Mr Pelargonium has more queries about cuttings than any other topic so with the mid summer cutting season in full swing he talks us through the processes he uses for success. This video (Part One) concentrates on taking Zonal hybrid cuttings.
Mr Pelargonium shows us how to crop Pelargonium roots back really hard in order to rejuvinate the plants. He also gives us an update on the progress of his Lillian Pottinger plants and Attar of Roses cutting
In this video Mr Pelargonium explains how he does his Regal Pelargonium cuttings. New cutting material has emerged from the cut back of his Regals carried out about a month ago and now its time to take the cuttings.
